Upgrading from 2017 to 2022

I have a QB server running QB 2017 Desktop Pro.  There are four users who access the data from their PCs and the server just hosts the data.

 

I am now upgrading to Enterprise 2022 and it's giving me some grief.

 

I installed QB 2022 on the server and it went off with no issues.  Next, I logged into one of the workstations and installed QB 2022 onto the workstation.  

 

When I try to open the company file, I am expecting to see the prompt to upgrade, but I do not.  I get an error -6902 telling me there is a problem opening the company file and it kicks me back to the home screen.

 

Anyone got any ideas on this?  Perhaps I'm jumping from 2017 to 2022 and that's not supported?
