- Open your QuickBooks company file.
- Go to the Employees menu and select Payroll.
- Choose Enter Payroll Service Key. Then, click Add.
- Enter your Payroll Service Key on the designated field. After that, click Next.
- Once done, tap on Finish.
Conversely, if you've purchased the product from a retail store, you can find your license and product info on a yellow sticker on the CD folder inside the box. Follow these steps to activate it:
- Open your QuickBooks company file.
- Go to the Employees menu and choose Payroll.
- Enter your Payroll License and Product Information on the Payroll Activation page. Then, click Continue.
- Follow the on-screen steps for the activation. You'll also need your service key for this process.
