It's good to have you on this thread, Mark. I can provide some resolution so you can use the updated feature of your Enhanced Payroll service in QuickBooks Enterprise.

Your QuickBooks Enterprise comes with the Enhanced Payroll service. Its activation process would depend on where you've purchased the product. In this case, let's follow the steps below depending on where you've bought the subscription.

If you've purchased directly from Intuit via phone or online, you'll receive a 16-digit service key through email. Kindly check your email and enter the key into QuickBooks for activation. Here's how:

  1. Open your QuickBooks company file.
  2. Go to the Employees menu and select Payroll.
  3. Choose Enter Payroll Service Key. Then, click Add.
  4. Enter your Payroll Service Key on the designated field. After that, click Next.
  5. Once done, tap on Finish.

Conversely, if you've purchased the product from a retail store, you can find your license and product info on a yellow sticker on the CD folder inside the box. Follow these steps to activate it:

  1. Open your QuickBooks company file.
  2. Go to the Employees menu and choose Payroll.
  3. Enter your Payroll License and Product Information on the Payroll Activation page. Then, click Continue.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps for the activation. You'll also need your service key for this process.

On the other hand, if your company file hasn't used a payroll before, please scroll down to Add a company to your existing payroll subscription part from this link: Add a new company to your payroll subscription

However, if it has used payroll products before, kindly contact our Payroll Support for further assistance. They have the tools to help you activate your Enhanced Payroll feature.

Finally, there are several payroll reports that you can utilize in QuickBooks. These reports let you look closer at your business stability and view employee information and payroll transactions.
