Before I upgrade to the newest version of QuickBooks Desktop For Mac and MacOS Sequoia, does anyone know if the 2020 Version V19.1.16 R17.3 will work properly with MacOS Sonoma 14.7.4?

I currently have my Quickbooks working fine with Sonoma 14.5 and don't want to jinx anything.

Only certain versions of QuickBooks Desktop for Mac are compatible with macOS Sonoma. Here are the supported versions for compatibility:

• QuickBooks Mac Plus 2024 R1.1
• QuickBooks Mac Plus 2023 R5.2
• QuickBooks Mac Plus 2022 R10.2
• QuickBooks Mac 2021 R13.3

Since QuickBooks Mac 2020 is no longer supported, it no longer receives critical security updates to protect your data. Continuing to use this version might lead to compatibility issues and, without access to live support, these problems could be more difficult to resolve. Thus, we recommend upgrading to a supported version of QuickBooks.

@Shania_C, I don't believe that information is 100% correct.  I'm currently using QuickBooks Desktop For Mac 2020 Version V19.1.16 R17.3 along with MacOS Sonoma 14.5 and they're both working seemingly fine with each other.

Is there any way to confirm, in fact, that it will continue to remain compatible with Sonoma 14.7.4?

You may experience random minor issues when running QBD 2019 and 2020 on Sequoia. QBD 2021 is more stable at the moment. You should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA and you might be lucky to get a license from them.

Additionally, since Intuit has stopped selling QuickBooks Desktop software online, you cannot purchase it through official channels. It's advisable to buy QuickBooks Desktop products directly from Intuit. Yes 14.5 is compatible with QBD for Mac 2020, because that's what I'm currently using.  What about iOS 14.7?

Install the trial version for 2023 or 2024. Did you encounter the same problem?

@Boiler83, give it a few more days or a week.  Mine was acting finicky until it just started working seemingly fine.  Maybe the Quickbooks software takes time to digest and interact with the new iOS, not sure.  But hopefully yours will work fine too soon.

Where can I buy a Desktop Mac 2024 Version so it can work with Sequoia?

Is it even a product?  I want it too.

Yes, I contacted @Fiat Lux - ASIA  a few times, but always seem to get the run around to purchase the online subscription version and not any clear answer where to find and purchase the desktop version. 

It's very possible you're asking the wrong question. They won't mention anything related to QB Online as long as you insist on using QB Desktop.

QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2020 is not compatible with macOS Sonoma 14.8.3 or macOS Tahoe 26.2. Upgrading your macOS will cause functionality issues with your current version of QuickBooks.
