Hi there, @MINC.

The error you’re encountering while transferring your QuickBooks for Mac file to QuickBooks Online is a JavaScript error caused by missing or improperly loaded code during page execution.

This error can be triggered by:

  • Page loads
  • Button clicks
  • Form submissions
  • Migration tool actions

As the migration tool can also trigger this error, it's important to use the correct tools specific to your version of QuickBooks Desktop.

Since you're using the 2020 version of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), you can utilize the online migration tool to transfer your data to QuickBooks Online.

Here's how:

  1. Convert your QuickBooks for Mac company file to QuickBooks for Windows before using the tool.
    • Note: If your company data exceeds 4,000,000 targets, you'll need to condense your file.
  2. Open the online migration tool, then select Get Started and sign in with your Intuit account.
  3. Click Select File, then locate the QuickBooks Desktop company file you want to transfer.
    • Note: The tool only allows one file upload at a time.
  4. Choose Open to upload the company file or drag and drop the file into the tool.
  5. Once uploaded, the tool will automatically update your company file to the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop.
  6. You'll then see the option to move your file to QuickBooks Online.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the migration. Once the process is finished, you will receive an email confirming your company data has been successfully moved to QuickBooks Online.
