I'll share details about producing paystubs for contractors in QuickBooks Online (QBO), jhan1.
The option to generate or create pay stubs for your contractor is unavailable in QBO. You can create a check and print it for recording purposes. Here's how:
- Go to the Payroll menu on the left panel.
- Choose the Contractors tab.
- Select the dropdown next to the contractor's name and click Write check.
- Select the expense account you use to track paychecks from the Corresponding account in the QuickBooks field.
- When you're ready to prepare the check, hit Save and Close to send the check to your print queue. Or if you want to print the check now, select Print Check.
To learn more about creating paper checks to pay your contractors, see the Pay a contractor with a paper check article. While we're unable to print pay stubs for your contractor's check, just purchase pre-printed ones that you can customize and add business details. For more details, click this link: https://intuitmarket.intuit.com/checks. Then follow these steps in setting up your printer settings if you already have your pre-printed checks.
I understand how convenient it can be to have a pay stub available for all of your payments, though, especially if the payment consists of different works. You'll want to send feedback to our Product Design Team. We'd like to have this opportunity to improve your QuickBooks experience. Here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.
- Enter your comments or product suggestions, then click Next.
- If you'll be provided a list of suggested articles related to your comments, select Skip and send message.
- Choose the appropriate category from the drop-down, then click Send message.
Here's an article that you can read to help track all the money you've paid to your vendor for a certain date range: Run a report with vendor totals.
Feel free to get back to us with additional questions while working with contractors or anything about QuickBooks. I'll be here to ensure your success. You have a good one.
