Hi there, Steiner1947.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll be sharing different details to ensure you'll be able to reset a password in QuickBooks.

If you're using QuickBooks Desktop, there are different ways on how you can locate the license number. You can find it:

  • Within QuickBooks Desktop system.
  • Through Customer Account Maintenance Page (CAMPs).
  • Using the License Look Up tool.

To find your license number within QuickBooks Desktop, you'll have to press the F2 key and look for your license number in the Product Information window. Then, open this article to view further details: Find QuickBooks Desktop license info. This provides other steps on how to locate a Licence number.

Then, you may click this article to see steps on how you can reset your password in QBDT: Reset your password for QuickBooks Desktop.

On the other hand, if you're using QuickBooks Self Employed, the license number isn't necessary for resetting the password. You'll just have to Go to the QuickBooks Self-Employed sign-in page. Then, choose the I forgot my User ID or Password link and follow on-screen steps to recover sign-in info.

Additionally, if you used your email address or user ID to verify your account, you'll get an email with a password reset link. Please know that resetting your password for QuickBooks Self-Employed also resets it for your other Intuit products, like TurboTax or Mint.

Lastly, you may refer to each article below to view details on how QBSE is designed to help you record your self-employed income and expenses, track mileage, and prepare your Schedule C. Then, visit a specific website that contains do-it-yourself articles, training, and pro advice that will help you get familiar with QuickBooks Desktop.

Just add a comment below if you have additional questions about resetting the password in QuickBooks. I'd be happy to offer further help. Have a wonderful.
