- Open your QuickBooks Online.
- Go to the Gear icon, then Accounts and settings.
- Head to the Expense tab.
- From the Bills and expenses section, click the pencil icon to edit.
- Next, toggle off the Make expenses and item billable.
- Click Save and Done.
Afterwards, once your contractor adds their own time, they won't be able to see the billable rate for the services.
