Intuit QuickBooks Debuts Integrated Brand Campaign in Canada to Spotlight How Small Businesses “Business Differently” to Reach Success

Intuit QuickBooks spotlights Canadian small businesses' unconventional paths to success as part of global brand campaign




Toronto, Canada, January 9, 2023Intuit (NASDAQ: INTU), the global financial technology platform that makes Intuit TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, announced today a global QuickBooks brand platform, “Business Differently,” in Canada. The campaign reveals powerful truths about the various and unconventional approaches many small business owners take to help them reach their definition of success on their own terms, with the help of tools like QuickBooks. 


This campaign brings together a multi-channel, integrated effort focused on spotlighting the notion that success can be achieved and defined in different ways, challenging others to redefine how they see success. The campaign includes real small business customers from across Canada, and highlights how QuickBooks' connected suite of business tools, which enables businesses to get paid, pay their employees, and manage their business finances, helps to set them up for success. 


"Small businesses are the backbone of the Canadian economy. In fact, more than 98 per cent of all businesses in Canada are small businesses, employing 47 per cent of Canada's workforce according to our Intuit QuickBooks Small Business Index Annual Report," said Puja Subrun, interim Canada country manager and VP, GTM at Intuit. "Small businesses spur innovation, new jobs and opportunities, and ensuring this critical community thrives is essential. The campaign will run throughout 2024 and includes several integrated elements in Canada, including:






VIDEO

  • Ad spots placed across Canadian broadcast and digital channels showcase various small business owners on the job in situations like a gala party, a construction site, and a soccer game. The spots encourage viewers to cast aside preconceived notions of success, while showcasing how tools like QuickBooks Payroll and QuickBooks Payments can power business owners on their business journey. 


SOCIAL

  • A comprehensive social media campaign features cut downs of the campaign ad spots and newly-created content aimed to inspire small businesses to run their Business Differently. Spotlights include real small business customers, including Haute Goat and Begonia Bakehouse
  • Influencer activations across varying content platforms that showcase authentic stories created by small business influencers describing the top business “green flags” that set them up for success


PODCAST

  • A new inspirational podcast series launching later this month will provide insights and advice for business owners, hosted by technology expert and entrepreneur, Amber Mac. The digital-first series titled ‘Success in 7’, exclusively on The Feed, features interviews with four small business owners for seven minutes each to discuss how they define success, how they’ve overcome challenges and how they use Intuit QuickBooks to run their business differently. 

"I am thrilled to kickstart insightful conversations on The Feed with resilient small business owners, delving into the hurdles they've conquered, the invaluable lessons they've learned, and the innovative strategies that set them apart,” says Amber Mac, Canadian tech expert and host of The Feed podcast. “In these seven minute segments, it's a celebration of entrepreneurial spirit, showcasing the diverse paths to success that inspire us all."
