What are the new prices?

For all purchases of QuickBooks products on and from 7 August 2024, the monthly prices will be as set out in the table below.

On a customer’s first billing date from 23 October 2024, the monthly price of all QuickBooks products purchased before 7 August 2024, will increase as set out in the table below.

When does the new pricing come into effect?

The new prices will apply to all new QuickBooks Online subscriptions - QuickBooks Self-Employed, Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Payroll that are purchased on and from 7 August 2024, from the date of purchase.

For subscriptions purchased before 7 August 2024, the new prices will take effect on customers’ first billing date after 23 October 2024.

Why are prices rising?

We appreciate this price adjustment comes at a difficult time for some of our customers and we have done what we can to hold prices steady for as long as possible. At QuickBooks, supporting the needs of our Australian customers is our singular focus. From time-to-time, this means reviewing our product innovation costs to ensure we can continue to deliver unparalleled value to customers, while remaining competitive in the market.

When will my client receive notifications?

Your clients who are directly billed by Intuit, also known as ‘bill my client’ subscriptions, will receive email notifications from 9 September 2024.

My client recently upgraded their subscription. Will they get the new pricing too?

If your client chose to upgrade their subscription, they will see an increase in their base price for their subscription on or after 23 October 2024. 

How can I check billing details for my clients on wholesale billing in QuickBooks Online Accountant?

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online Accountant Firm.
  2. Select the Gear icon at the top right, then go to Your Account.
  3. Within the Wholesale billing section, under QuickBooks subscription, select the link for the type of statement you need:
  4. To see charges for QuickBooks Online subscriptions, select View QuickBooks billing history.
  5. To see charges for payroll subscriptions, select View payroll billing history.

How can I check billing details for my direct-billed clients?

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online Accountant Firm.
  2. Access your client’s QuickBooks.
  3. Select the Gear icon at the top right, then go to Account and Settings.
  4. From the left menu, select Billing & Subscription.
  5. Select View payment history.
  6. Filter by Date Range if necessary.

How will I be billed for the subscriptions I manage?

You'll be billed monthly for all of your clients under your subscriptions. Your billing date is set based on the date of the month you added your first client to your QBOA billing account and all of your subsequent subscriptions will also be billed on this established date.

I have purchased wholesale subscription bundle.  Will my bundle price be affected?

Package pricing won't change during its promotional period. However, when the promotion ends, the price of subscriptions will be updated to reflect the current wholesale price.

I have ‘Bill My Client’ customers who purchased in the last 12 months and are still receiving a 50% discount on their QuickBooks Online account. Will they also receive the price increase?

The price of ‘Bill My Client’ subscriptions will change to the new prices once their 50% promotional period has ended. 

I want to pay for the QuickBooks Online subscription and my client to pay for the Online Payroll subscription. Is this possible?

No. Currently, wholesale billing only supports them as one bundle. Therefore, different billing types aren't possible.

Is the price for QuickBooks Online Advanced changing?

There is no change to our QuickBooks Online Advanced pricing. See our website for details.
