You can run ad hoc or off-cycle payroll in QuickBooks Payroll powered by Employment Hero when you need to make adjustments outside your usual pay schedule. Use your current pay schedule weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, or set up a separate "Ad hoc" schedule with the same frequency.
Create an ad hoc pay schedule
If you choose to create a separate schedule for adjustments, follow these steps:
- Go to All apps
, select Payroll, then select Employees (Take me there). - Select Payroll Settings.
- Select Pay Schedules under Pay Run Settings.
- Select Add on the right side of the screen.
- In the Name field, enter Ad hoc. In the Frequency dropdown, select the same frequency as your regular pay schedule.
- Select Save.
