A little bit ago you helped with the issues I was having efiling my client T4's by Internet Transfer through my Represent a Client portal, thank you very much.
Now, I have one client that has T5018 forms for subcontractors and the system seems to be messed up again and even if I change all the business numbers in FX Profile to the RZ0001 extension, the portal won't allow the upload. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? It will allow the attachment, but will not complete the procedure.
Are you getting any errors?
I am getting an error message, just not in the same part of the procedure. Before the error message showed right at the beginning and wouldn't let me attach the xml file. Now, with the T5018, I get all the way to submit and then this is the error message.

The error report says 'Filer account number is missing or invalid for this type of return'
I am not sure where the account number would be missing or invalid
I was using the Information Returns portal to upload this file, because the extension on the account number is RZ0001
THat would be inside one of the slips I would think, you need to check that the Account number is registered with CRA
The account numbers are correct and the client does have an RZ0001 account. This is very frustrating. I am not sure what else to do.
I recommend contacting CRA, may be the account number ends with 0002 , I would not know. And they might be able to help.
I'm getting the same message for just 'some' of my T5 slips that I'm trying to file.....using Rep a Client, and most slips transmitted, but I have a dozen or so companies that just won't file.
Can you check if the client has a valid RZ number on INFO page under Identification number .. Business number
Make sure that there is a valid number there for the client and make sure that CRA has it as active
What about a first time filer?

CRA explains that you can put all 0's
Account Number
- Required, 15 alphanumeric, 9 digits RZ 4 digits, example 000000000RZ0000
- must correspond to the Account number on the related T5018 Summary record.
- if you have not been notified of your number, or you are unsure of your number, contact our Business Enquiries line at 1-800-959-5525
- if you have not been able to obtain a BN RZ, enter 000000000RZ0000 in the field
Note: In order to process a return, the complete Account number is Required.
So, I received a reply from Mario, but he addresses the problem of the original poster....I'm talking about T5s that won't go, and one is a first time filer. What do I put in that return for an account number?

I am not sure if your issue is with the slips themselves or the T619 at the top of the XML

- 9 or 15 digits of the recipient’s BN assigned by the CRA.

I did call CRA yesterday and apparently I was trying to upload the T5018 xml file through RZ0001 (T5 Slips) when I should have been uploading through the RZ0002 portal for Contract Payments.
It was strange because I have in the past always used the payroll portal to upload even the T5018 file. So, I think this RZ0002 account was not there before, at least I don't remember seeing it in the CRA Represent a client account.
In Profile I changed the Business number on the Info page to RZ0002 as well as the business number in the Efile - Options section. It worked!! PTL!
Congrats MBrekkaas! I am glad that your issue is resolved.
CRA is inconsistent.....I had one that had been refused go today.....T5;s on a RZ0002. I have some that went today but not yesterday. I have a whole bunch more that still won't go. No rhyme nor reason....This better get fixed before next year..... And, Profile, while you're at it, can you maybe make the database checkboxes show what was filed/accepted, etc on the right side instead of just greyed out boxes?
