A bit late, but I finally received a Quebec transmitter number for RL1 forms and a sequence of RL1 slip numbers
Finding where to enter this information in Efile - Options is easy enough
But after entering the slip numbers and clicking OK, I get an error message saying that the software is unable to create the folder in which MRQ slips numbers are stored. I do not have permission to write to the location.
It tells me where that location is. It is a long string of folders and subfolders locate on my E drive
Well, I do not have an E drive. I have never had an E drive. I would never have entered any location anywhere in any settings in Profile on the E drive.
I cannot find any place where I would tell Profile an appropriate folder in which to save this information
Can you tell me how I can get Profile to save this information?
Thank you
Larry Hancock

Thanks, but not. It is not the XML folder.
However, success!
As I type this I am sitting at a different computer on which the software is also installed. I tried entering the slip information on this computer and had the exact same issue.
Then I realized, that in searching for this unknown folder I had only gone through all of the options under the Efile menu.
So I looked further and I found .. Environment Options... System.... there are two choices both of which have a default entered as being that folder on the E drive. This computer also does not have an E drive. The two choices are for Security File and Shared Folders. The Security File is not ticked and so is not active.
I ticked the Shared Folder - Counters and changed this to a folder that currently exists (in doing so I discovered that my DVD drive is my E Drive so i was defaulting to a supposed folder on the drive I originally installed from, way back when we all installed Profile from physical media!)
And the software did not give me an error message
So the place to change this was in the System tab of Environment Options
Thanks for trying to help
