T1 Efile error 39270

Issue

This error happens when there's a disposition of an automobile creating a negative recapture expense on line 9270 of T776.

Workaround

Override line 9270 to zero and override line 9947 to 6554.27.

Resolution

This issue will be resolved in an upcoming Pro Tax update.

Incorrect 2023 AB First Bracket Tax Rate for Graduated Rate Estates (GRE) or Qualified Disability Trusts (QDT)

Issue

For GRE or QDT, the Alberta tax rate for taxable income below $142,292 (first bracket) is incorrect under the Step 1 calculation on AB and T3ABMJ forms.

Workaround

Override the Alberta tax rate for taxable income below $142,292 (first bracket) from 60% to 10%.

This issue will be resolved in an upcoming Pro Tax update.
