Archive and view old payroll tax forms

Learn how to view and archive payroll tax forms using QuickBooks Payroll.

For record keeping, you'll want to archive past payroll forms. Once archived, they're easily accessible in case you need to look something up.

Archive an old payroll form

To archive an old form:

  1. Go to Taxes and select Payroll tax (Take me there).
  2. Select Monthly Forms or Annual Forms.
  3. Select the desired form.
  4. Select the liability period.
  5. Select Archive.
Note: The available liability periods only extend back for a year or two. If you need to archive a form from an earlier period, reach out to our support team of payroll specialists for assistance.

View an archived payroll form

To view an archived form:

  1. Go to Taxes and select Payroll tax (Take me there).
  2. Under Monthly Forms or Annual Forms, select View Archived Forms.
  3. Select the desired form.
  4. Select View.
