Edit a sales receipt or invoice payment using the mobile app

Learn how to edit a sales receipt or invoice payment in the QuickBooks Online app.

You can edit sales receipt or invoice payment information that doesn't affect the charge or payment such as the date, reference number, and memo. In this article, we'll show you how.

Note: For payments that are already processed, go to QuickBooks Online on the web to make changes.

Here's how to edit the information.

  1. From the Menu ☰, tap Sales & Get Paid, then tap Sales receipts or Invoice payments.
  2. Select the sales receipt or invoice payment that you want to edit.
  3. Tap the edit icon ✎.
  4. Make changes, then tap Save.
    Note: Don't try to edit fields that affect the charge. You won't be able to save them.
