I can use that to file the past taxes. How about current ones? Can i continue to use that program or do I have to pay again? in other words, is that program a perpetual license or is there a pay per use fee?

for regular licenses, every new tax year you need to pay to renew your license

but if you purchase the latest tax year license, its valid for ALL tax years
