Do we know if Profile will put the T2201 back in the software? Currently, the form is missing entirely. I'm using V. 2023.2.7
cra has change the t2201 to electronic so the doctors can log in and fill them out online apparently. i doubt if the doctors will have time to do this and if they will even want to! good old cra! if it isn't broke don't fix it!! you have to either download the form online or go to a prior year and fill one out! very inconvenient!! hopefully cra will change back to the way it was and so will profile!
sorry should have been changed.
I agree 100% - we need that put back, for sure!
The T2201 needs to be included in Profile as it was before so we can give them to our clients with their information completed. Then the doctor completes their part by hand as usual. My clients bring them back to me to submit to CRA. This way we have a copy of the completed form in our records. The digital forms have to be completed by the client through 'My Account', then a code given to the doctor to access it. Another thing for a doctor to learn when they don't have time. Also, even though some clients have 'my account' they only have it to look at credits etc, not to fill in forms. That's what they come to their tax preparer for.
The new digital form is just an alternative and does not replace the paper T2201. Please put it back in the Profile program.
I was wondering the same thing, I had a client who's Doctor told him it will take her a year to fill in, man that is nuts!!
