How do I add more than 3 dependents to the Medical Expense schedule? "Allowable amount of medical expenses for other dependents Line 331"

I would like to claim the allowable medical expenses for 5 dependants but there are only enough fields for 3 people.

Thank you for using ProFile Live Community.

That is correct. You can only enter up to three dependents on the medical form. If you have more than three, you can merge the dependents (you can enter their names manually), for the sake of record keeping, and the totals will flow to line 331. The medical form is ProFile worksheet and doesn't get transmitted to CRA.

That is correct. You can only enter up to three dependents on the medical form. If you have more than three, you can merge the dependents (you can enter their names manually), for the sake of record keeping, and the totals will flow to line 331. Were you not able to add all the children on the Dependant's information schedule? I thought it was infinitely expandable. I've had as many as 6 children in one family with no problems.

So when I am doing a tax return for a parent and their child(ren) have medical expenses do I need to add their names manually?

the form is not transmitted to CRA, only box 331 is, so you could increase the expenses of one of the dependant to get the right number on box 331
