Verify your principal officer and business identity for payroll or payments accounts
by Intuit•10• Updated 1 month ago
Learn how to verify your principal officer and business identity so you can process payments or use our payroll services with QuickBooks.
When you sign up for payroll or payments, sometimes we need to reach out to verify some more of your info.
Federal regulations require us to verify the identity of the principal officer and the business when you use our payments and payroll services. See our merchant agreements for Payments and Payroll for more details.
Here are some answers to common questions about how to finish your verification so you can continue to use our payments or payroll services.
How we'll contact you to verify your info
When you set up your new payments or payroll account in QuickBooks, we need to verify the principal officer and business info you entered. If we can't, we’ll request additional info by phone or email request.
The email comes from either QBO@intuit.com or AccountValidation@intuit.com.
Actions you'll need to do
- Review the email you receive from QBO@intuit.com or AccountValidation@Intuit.com.
- Gather the documents we request. If you have paper copies, you can take photos of them with your phone. Make sure they're high-quality and clear enough to read.
- Before the deadline, follow the instructions in the email to upload or send your documents.
Once we receive your documents, we'll review your case within 2 business days. We’ll send you an email as soon as it’s complete.
In the meantime, you can continue to process payments and use our payroll services.
Important: Make sure you respond by the deadline in your email to avoid interruption or termination of your payments or payroll service. |
