SOLVEDby QuickBooks326Updated December 15, 2023

Learn more about how to switch from Bill Pay powered by Melio to QuickBooks Bill Pay for QuickBooks Online. This is also known as Melio Green by users.

If you’re not sure which bill pay service you have, check which Bill Pay you are using in QuickBooks Online.

We are discontinuing the integration for Bill Pay powered by Melio. We’re excited to introduce QuickBooks Bill Pay over the next few months. Just choose a subscription plan that's right for you.  You can choose from a Bill Pay Basic plan with no additional subscription fee and up to 5 free* ACH transactions per month or get more features with Bill Pay paid plans

When will QuickBooks Bill Pay be available?

If you received an email on 12/14 that said Bill Pay powered by Melio integration in QuickBooks has gone away, you’ll be able to sign up for QuickBooks Bill Pay on 12/14.

Starting 12/14, you can sign up for QuickBooks Bill Pay when you save and schedule a new bill or schedule payments for an existing bill. You can also sign up for QuickBooks Bill Pay through in-product notifications, or by visiting Subscription and Billing and clicking on the bill pay box.  Once you sign up for QuickBooks Bill Pay, there may be a short onboarding process requesting information such as: business name, business email, bank account information, SSN or EIN, and you may have to reconnect your bank account.

Note: If you received a notice stating that you are currently on the Bill Pay Basic plan, then you are already enrolled in QuickBooks Bill Pay. To see more information on your current plan or view other plan options, visit Subscription and Billing and click on the bill pay box.

Previously paid bills:

Information about past bills you’ve paid are synced and available in QuickBooks. You can view past payment info by going to Bills and then select any bill you’ve paid.

Previously scheduled or recurring payments:

After you sign up for QuickBooks Bill Pay, your existing scheduled and recurring payments scheduled using Melio will still be visible in QuickBooks Online and will be paid on time until June 18, 2024 . Here’s how you can edit or cancel these payments.

  1. Select Bills, and then Paid. This will show all the bills that have been scheduled to pay or have already been executed.
  2. Select any scheduled bill, then select View Online Payment button. This will take you to a new window where you will see more details about the scheduled payment.
  3. Select the bill. Edit or cancel the scheduled payment using the edit or cancel buttons at the bottom.

Note: Any bills scheduled through the Bill Pay powered by Melio integration in Quickbooks Online to be paid on or after June 19, 2024 will not be paid.

Vendor Information

Your vendor info that was captured in Bill Pay powered by Melio such as their business name, address, and payment info, will automatically move to QuickBooks for you. You don’t need to enter this info again.

View and edit Vendor Details:

  1. Select Vendors, and then a vendor.
  2. Select Vendor Details to see all contact info like email, phone number, and address.
Note: Select Edit to see vendor info and ACH payment details (i.e., the last 4 digits of the account number and routing number).
