QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
Terms, conditions, pricing, discounts, special features, and service and support options subject to change without notice. Standard Enhanced Payroll subscription fees apply when adding to Enterprise Silver. Enhanced payroll is included with Gold and Platinum base subscription. Additional per employee fees apply and are billed monthly based on the number of unique employees paid: first 1-9 employees is $3/employee/month; next 10-29 employees is $2.50/employee/month; next 30-99 employees is $1.50/employee/month; next 100-219 employees is $1.00/employee/month; next 220+ employees is $0.00/employee/month; additional fees may apply when paying 1099 contractors by direct deposit. Active subscription, Internet access, Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN), and U.S. billing address required. Check stock sold separately. Plus sales tax where applicable.
QuickBooks Desktop Assisted Payroll: QuickBooks Desktop Assisted Payroll is not available in Indiana or Wyoming. It is included in the base subscription for Enterprise Diamond; $2.50 per employee per pay period. If you file taxes in more than one state, each additional state is currently $12/month. Active subscription, Internet access and Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) required. QuickBooks Desktop Payroll requires a supported version of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise updated to the most current maintenance release. QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise supports over 100,000 employees, customers, vendors and other names combined. However, performance may slow when processing files containing more than 250 employees.
1 million list items: QuickBooks Enterprise allows you to add up to 1 million names (e.g., customers, vendors, employees) and up to 1 million items (e.g., inventory, non-inventory, and service items). Some performance degradation is likely as your lists approach these size thresholds.
Working in two company files at once: When working in two company files at once, some functionality may be limited.
User licenses: Each unique user requires a license. Each license is sold separately. All copies of QuickBooks must be the same version-year. Licenses are available in single-user increments from 1 to 10 users. 20 or 30 user licenses are also available. Diamond can support up to 40 users. Fees apply.
Live support included: For hours of support and how to contact support, click here.

To make sure your purchase is authentic, take note of the following:
The FTC says that imposter scams are the top type of fraud, with people losing $2.7 billion each year. By understanding their tactics, you can prevent these bad actors from attempting to harm you and your business.
We're committed to keeping your data safe. Our systems detect and block suspicious activity before it can even begin. To protect you, we use the following safety measures:
- Multi-factor authentication
- Anti-fraud technology
We need to work together to stay ahead of scammers. We’ll provide you with important information to help you protect your customers’ financial data from fraudsters and scammers. With the right knowledge and resources, you can confidently protect your business. Learn more about how we keep your data safe.
Intuit will never ask for your password, a one-time code by phone, email, or text. Imposter scams may pretend to be an Intuit employee to ask for account info. You shouldn't give it out to anyone. Get more details about online scams.
Be aware of unauthorized parties attempting to impersonate Intuit sales or tech support. The following are examples of fraudulent tech support.
Unexpected and Unsolicited Support Communication
Scams can be unsolicited calls or emails that pretend to be from Intuit. They can also claim there are fake tech problems, like malware or damaged files. Intuit won’t reach out to you unprompted to fix a problem or address an issue. That is, Intuit will only reach out to you if you requested a call back for your support inquiry.
Demand for Payment
Fraudulent requests often come via email or phone with high-pressure tactics urging payments for services not requested, including phantom long-term subscriptions, and requests for immediate computer access or financial transactions.
Misleading Sources
Fraudsters often use unofficial contact details such as non-Intuit emails, webpages, or phone numbers. Don't use a search engine to find Intuit tech support. If you need to contact them, go to our support page here.
- Check that your account has an updated phone number and email address.
- Set up an authenticator app to generate secure one-time passcodes.
- Add your name and email address to your Intuit account profile. We’ll use this info to verify your identity if you ever get locked out.
- Use a unique password for QuickBooks and don’t use the same password for multiple websites.
- Add or update your info when you select Sign in and security, then select Profile in accounts.intuit.com.
We want to let you know that some websites and resellers are selling fake QuickBooks Desktop software. If you want to know more about QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise or sign up, call our sales team at 800-730-0605.
Unsupported Products
Don't purchase unsupported products as they pose a security risk to both your customers and your financial data. This also results in fraudulent charges and unfulfilled orders. The following products for sale online across any platform (including Amazon and Google Search) are fake and not authorized by Intuit:
- QuickBooks Desktop Plus
- QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier, or Mac
Intuit no longer offers the following:
- New subscriptions of QuickBooks Desktop Plus or QuickBooks Desktop Enhanced Payroll.
- Non-subscription versions (Lifetime or Perpetual licenses) of QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier, and Mac.
Note: QuickBooks Desktop Plus and Desktop Payroll users can still renew their subscriptions. They'll still get security updates, product updates, and support.
Learn more about how to identify potential fraud. If you need to report any fraudulent encounters by unauthorized parties selling and claiming to represent Intuit, please call 1-800-4-INTUIT.
QuickBooks Desktop Plus subscriptions give customers the same locally-installed Desktop experience they’re familiar with, which includes added features like:
- Unlimited customer support (as defined in our support documentation).
- Automated data backup and recovery.
- Access to the most recent updates of the software with the latest features and security patches.
Price increases are never easy. However, they're essential to deliver products and services that you need today and in the future. Each year, we aim to provide you with access to a secure and reliable desktop product that helps run your business.
Your cancelation will take effect when your subscription renews on your next billing date. Until then, you can still use your QuickBooks Desktop Plus subscription.
Note: You're eligible for a prorated refund on your QuickBooks Desktop Plus subscription when you upgrade to QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. This means you can cancel your current subscription and get a prorated refund for the remaining months when you upgrade. You can call 1-800-4-INTUIT to request a prorated refund when you move to QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.
Once your subscription expires, you should take note of the following:
- You'll have view-only access to your data for 12 months.
- You’ll be able to export your existing data, but you won’t be able to edit your data with your inactive license. This happens in the same 12-month period.
- View-only access is available if you’ve upgraded to:
- QuickBooks Desktop Plus for Windows 2023 R3 or newer.
- QuickBooks Mac Plus 2024 or newer.
Upgrading to the latest version year and release is included in your subscription at no additional cost. Learn how to check if you have the latest release and update.
Once the cancelation is processed upon your subscription renewal, you'll no longer be able to do the following:
- Receive Intuit customer support
- Access to Data Recovery services
- Use other services included in your plan such as Intuit Data Protect
- Make edits in your QuickBooks Desktop software
Note: View-only access is available for 12 months after your cancelation. - Use attached services such as Desktop Payroll or Desktop Payments unless you have another active QuickBooks Desktop subscription
A few things to know before you decide to cancel:
- You may continue to use the QuickBooks Desktop Plus product until the end of your current billing period.
- Canceling your Desktop subscription won’t automatically cancel your Desktop Payroll or Desktop Payments subscription. To cancel your Desktop Payroll or Desktop Payments subscription, log in to your Account Management Portal.
