Void a payment with the GoPayment app

Learn how to void a payment within the GoPayment app.

You can conveniently use the GoPayment app to void a payment? This is true no matter which app version you use, the green or the blue.

  1. Launch the GoPayment app.
  2. Select the Money in tab.
  3. From the list of transactions, select the sales receipt or invoice payment that you wish to void.
  4. Select the vertical ellipsis ⋮
  5. Then, select the Refund payment option.
  6. Select OK to complete the refund.

You'll receive a confirmation message that everything processed successfully.

  1. Launch the GoPayment app.
  2. Select the hamburger (☰) icon.
  3. Select the Transactions tab.
  4. From the list of transactions, select the sales receipt or invoice payment that you wish to void.
  5. Then, select the open icon on the transaction.

  6. Select the Refund Transaction option.
  7. Select OK to complete the refund.
  8. You'll receive a confirmation message that everything processed successfully. Select OK to close the message.

To avoid any fees, try to void a payment before 3 pm PST on the same day you accepted the payment. This is typically the cut off for when most credit card payments are processed.

If you can't void the payment or if your customer overpays, go to the Merchant Service Center and issue your customer a refund.
