Get started with QuickBooks mobile payments

Learn how to get started with QuickBooks mobile payments.
Before you can take payments on your mobile device, you'll want to make sure:
- You have internet and instant message access
- You can use your device with GoPayment
- You don't have a cover or protective skin on the mobile device
- When you use the audio jack card reader, your volume is turned up when you connect your card reader
- The mobile device is on the latest operating system release
- You have a strong internet connection
- Your speaker-phone is disabled
- No other apps are running on the device
Step 1. Download the mobile payments app (GoPayment)
Important: If you can't download the app for your device, you can process credit cards from the mobile payments site at https://GoPayment.intuit.com.
Set up your device to make sure it'll work with GoPayment.
Apple
- Turn off restrictions for GoPayment. Go to Settings, Screen Time, Content & Privacy and then toggle to off.
- Turn off RTT/TTY. Go to Settings, Accessibility, RTT/TTY, and then toggle to off.
- Allow all cookies. Go to Settings, Safari, Advanced, and make sure Block All Cookies is turned off.
Android
- Turn off TTY. Go to the Phone app, tap the three dots, tap Accessibility, and then TTY mode.
- GoPayment requires you to turn on Java.
Step 2. Create a user ID from your approval email
After you're approved, you'll receive an email from BusinessServices@intuit.com.
- Open the email and select Create a Login or Login.
- Your username is pre-populated with your email address.
- Type in the password you want and then select Submit.
Note: Make sure you keep track of your user ID. You'll use it to access the online service center and the GoPayment app.
Step 3: Process a transaction
You can swipe or manually enter a credit card for a sale. Plug in the card reader and swipe. If you don't have a card reader, tap Key Card to manually enter the card info.
Customize your receipts
You can customize your receipts. Add a logo, phone number, and custom message if you want.
Apple

Android
- Sign in to the online service center.
- Choose Account and then Mobile Payments.
- From Quick Links, select Customize Receipt.
- Make your changes and then select Save and Preview Receipt.
- Select Done or Make Changes to customize.
Set up additional mobile payments users
- Sign in to the online service Center.
- Select Account and then Mobile Payments.
- Select Invite User.
- Enter the First Name, Last Name, Email Address (required), and Phone (optional).
- Assign a role to this user and then select Submit.
- GoPayment will send an invitation to the user's email address.
- If they don't already have an Intuit user ID, they'll be asked to complete a form.
- If they have an Intuit user ID, they can select Already have Intuit User ID and sign in.
Manage your account and more in the Merchant Service Center
You can manage your account, process transactions and refunds, set up notifications, and more. Just sign in to the online service center. For details on features and tools available, see What is the Merchant Service Center (MSC)?
