Account management

This is for two-step verification, not multi-factor verification.  Logging into the Intuit account, there is nothing under sign in and security that references multi-factor authentication.  How can we turn this off.  This just started happening to me in 2021 and I'm required to authenticate every time I log in.  It takes several minutes to get the verification code.

I appreciate both of you for bringing this to our attention.

The two-two-factor authentication is an additional layer that strengthens the security of your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. If this feature doesn't work for your business, then you have the option to turn it off.

Here's what you'll need to do if you're using the same phone number:

  1. Sign in to your Intuit account.
  2. Tap Sign In & Security from the left menu.
  3. In the “Two-step verification” section, hit Turn off.
  4. Enter the code.
  5. Select Continue.

If you're using a different phone number, you'll need first to update your phone number so you can log in to the account. Once done, you can now turn off the two-step verification.

For more information about this process, take a look at this article: Turn on or turn off two-step verification.
