The Migrator Tool helps in transferring your company data to your new computer. Another way to transfer the file is to manually install the QuickBooks Desktop. These are the steps on how to do it:
- Create a backup company file from your old computer. Save it on a flash drive or an external device.
- On your new computer, go to Downloads & Updates page. Select and install the QuickBooks Desktop you're using.
- Open the new QuickBooks and restore the file.
- Make sure to update your payroll tax table if you have payroll.
