Quickbooks Self-Employed Needs UPDATES
This software used to be free with Turbo tax, now this is paid software, and we need some updates. Here's a few suggestions, I'm sure there are many more.
1. We need the ability to send quotes/estimates in QuickBooks self-employed. (no, we don't want to upgrade to new software).
2. We need the ability to edit Client Contact info that auto-fills in our invoices. I have ten versions of the same client that auto-fills when sending an invoice. It's hard to know which one is the current one and which is the correct info.
3. We need the ability to remove or update the Tax Estimate or when taxes are due. I used Turbo Tax this year and already submitted my taxes. Quickbooks should know that since they are connected.
Will this software ever be updated, or has it just been abandoned?

Hello, directorball.
I understand that this increases your company's expenses. However, when you have a premium or paid turbo tax bundle, you don't have to pay for annual filing in TurboTax. They will waive the federal filing fees as well as the fee for one state return. To make this work, use the same username and password for both your QuickBooks Self-Employed and TurboTax Self-Employed accounts.
For more information about the QuickBooks Self-Employed + TurboTax Bundle, you can visit this article: QuickBooksTax Bundle and how to upgrade.
Though, regarding your suggestions, we can pass a request here about this feature. These requests and suggestions are forwarded to the Product Development Team, and I want to let you know that your voice matters and that each update our developer team creates is considered that it benefits our customer's business.
Here's how:
- Access your QuickBooks company.
- Click Assistant and, type Feedback.
- Press Add a feature. Then enter your suggestions.
