I see you're looking to upgrade to a 2024 QuickBooks Desktop version. I'd be happy to provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision.
Yes. You can definitely use QuickBooks Desktop Premier 2024 (QBDT) or QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions. These versions support sales orders for three separate companies.
If you want to upgrade to QBDT Premier 2024, you can do so within your company file. When you open QuickBooks, a notification will appear if a new version is available. We have streamlined the upgrade process to make it easy for you. Here's how:
- When you are ready, click Upgrade Now.
- If you want to keep your current QuickBooks, select Keep the old version on my computer. Then, click Let’s go. QuickBooks downloads, installs, and activates the new version for you. It updates your company file(s).
- Click Open QuickBooks.
Change your one-time message prompts if you do not get a prompt to upgrade. Follow these steps to bring back all one-time messages:
- Go to Edit, and then select Preferences.
- Choose General, and then click My Preferences.
- Pick Bring back all one-time messages and then OK.
- Close, then QuickBooks again. You’ll have the prompt to upgrade your QuickBooks subscription.

However, if you prefer QBDT Enterprise 2024, there is a separate procedure for it. With that, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Sales Support Team to get the most out of the entire process. You can contact us from Mondays to Fridays, 5 AM to 6 PM PST.
