If you opt to move your desktop file to the online version manually, start by getting your desktop data ready (for example, making sure your company file isn't too big to export). Afterward, move it to QBO.
For QBDT Pro or Premier, here's how:
- Sign in as an admin.
- Go to Company, then select Export Your Company File to QuickBooks Online.
- Select Get started.
- Sign in as an admin to your QuickBooks Online company.
- Select Choose online company, and choose the company you want to replace with your company file, then click Continue.
- Enter Agree in the text field, then select Replace.
- Select Yes, go ahead and replace the data, then click Replace.
