Hello there, HIS-Jacey.

QuickBooks Desktop 2014 is one of the discontinued program and the gap from it to the 2020 version is large. There might be feature differences between the two programs that might cause data damage or loss if we suddenly convert your company file to said version. Before doing anything, I'd recommend creating a backup copy of your company file.

You'll need to convert your 2014 company file incrementally so the data will be adjusted as we convert it to a higher version. To do this, I'd recommend contacting our Technical Support Team. They can help you download and install the higher versions (2015, 2016...2019). Then, then convert the file accordingly.

After that, you can already upgrade your company file to the 2020 version. Once you're done with the upgrade, it is always recommended to update the release version of the QuickBooks Desktop you're using.

You can always get back to us if you need additional assistance with the process. Have a great day!
