cannot register product, no support available on line or by phone
Hello
I am trying to register my quickbooks desktop 2020 product on my new computer. When I enter the license and product number, it takes me to a box that asks for my email and phone number associated with the purchase. When I enter those it says they are not valid--I know they are--and that I have to call a number to have an agent help me. I call the number and the robot says the only way to get help is via the chat. When I try to initiate a chat, absolutely nothing happens, even after 24 hours. PLEASE HELP!

When entering license and product number to register your QuickBooks account, it requires you to log in using the email address you registered with your product. Since the system doesn't validate your email address or phone number, let's try logging your email address using the Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPS). From there, we can verify if the email you used to register your product wasn't connected with an Intuit Account. In this case, you may need to recover or claim the account you've never signed in. Here's how:
- On the CAMPs sign-in page, select I forgot my user ID or password.
- Then, follow the onscreen instruction.
- If that doesn’t help, go back to camps.intuit.com and select Claim Account.
Once done, you can use the recovered account or the claimed one when registering your QuickBooks Desktop account.

It says it does not know me!! I have only used QB for many many years!! So I have to create an account but it will not let me populate the e-mail field at all so I cannot get past it. However, we still need to get in touch with them. They are the ones who can help you get the validation code to activate QuickBooks Desktop.
Here's how:

- Choose your QuickBooks Product.
- Select your QuickBooks edition.
- Click Continue.
Once you get the validation code, you can follow these steps to activate QBDT. Here's how:
- Open QuickBooks.
- Select Activate QuickBooks Desktop from the Help menu.
- Follow the steps on the screen to verify your details.

I am having the exact same issue. For the amount that I spent on the product, it is completely ridiculous. The online registration does not work. It says it is not the correct information, yet when I call that phone number is in their system. However, no calls have gone through for direct customer support either. A computer answers the call but will not direct me to customer service. It says "dash" and disconnects me repeatedly. There are only a certain number of attempts I can make to register. This is very poorly run.
