I'm trying to file directly from Company CRA account (while being logged in) and also from Represent a Client account. I don't have a WAC.
I successfully filed T4 and T4A today through My Business account having both my BN15 and my repid populate from Profile into the T619 header. This was for my own firm T4s and T4As. Will try a T4 file through RAC later this week but if I run into problems I already discovered that CRA will accept the xml file without BN information, so I might manually strip it out. One difficulty I currently have is that I cannot delete the BN from the EFILE options, only change it, but given the T4 deadline is in 2 weeks I don't expect Intuit to do anything about that. Omitting it would be so much easier than having to change it for every client (and the client is not the transmitter anyway, the accounting firm is the transmitter. ???)
I got a T5 to go through, but not a T4A for the same client (using the sign-in within Profile and a WAC).
The error message remains: "Filer account number is missing or invalid for this type of return".
The Filer account number has been entered in Profile and the file saved.
@MikeACGA , you can remove the BN from Option environment Preparer menu, at the bottom
@Sharon for the T4A BN should be RP (may be RC will work, not sure) and for T5 you BN should be RZ
Thanks Mario. I finally got them all filed.
Note for everyone: you need a different WAC for each BN of a client.
The WAC for a RP filing (T4/T4A) will be different for example, to the WAC for the RZ filing (T5).
