Using a QuickBooks Online subscription purchased through a retailer

If you purchased a QuickBooks Online subscription through a retailer, please review Activate your QuickBooks Online subscription to set up and activate your account.

Once activated, simply use your user ID and password to sign in and access your account.

Check your receipt page, activation card or confirmation email for the license and product numbers.

The product you have purchased comes with a 12-month subscription (13 months if purchased through Costco), which becomes effective on the date of activation. When you renew, your subscription continues as a monthly billed subscription, or you can opt to change to annual frequency during your retail subscription period.

You will be charged the then-current monthly subscription price, plus applicable tax.

Yes, if not activated ahead of the expiry date of January 31, 2024. You can find this date printed on your voucher.

You will be prompted to renew your subscription prior to the end of your subscription. We recommend entering your payment information as soon as possible so that upon renewal your payment will be made automatically.

To set the renewal select the Gear icon, then Account and Settings, then Billing and subscriptions. You’ll see the product you have purchased as well as when it will be up for renewal. Select the Renew button to capture your payment information and you’re all set!
