
How to create and track standard e-invoices using QuickBooks online - Malaysia

There are two kinds of e-invoices available in QuickBooks Online:
- Standard e-incoices, and
- Consolidated e-invoices.
This article explains how to create and send standard e-invoices with QuickBooks online. You can learn how to create and send consolidated e-invoices in this article.
How to create a standard e-invoice
- Go to sales, then invoices and new invoice
- Fill the invoice details
- Select Validate with LHDN
Note: When filling out your invoice details, make sure you select the correct customer, product and service include all the relevant details. |
Next, choose from three options:
- If you want to send the e-invoice to the customer at the same time as you validate with LHDN, select Validate and send from the dropdown menu
- If you want to send the e-invoice to the customer without validation, select Send from the dropdown menu
- If you want to send it via Whatsapp, select Send via WhatsApp from the dropdown menu
How to track the validation status of e-invoices
- Go to sales, then invoices
- Check the e-invoice status column to see if the e-invoice is validated or rejected
- If the e-invoice is validated but not sent to the customer, open it and send it to them
- If the e-invoice shows as rejected, follow the prompts in QuickBooks Online to resolve the issue
