Add an Audio Link to an Email
by Intuit• Updated 2 months ago
Most email clients can't play audio files directly inside an email, but you can add an audio link so recipients can download and listen to your audio, such as music or podcasts.
In this article, you'll learn how to add a link to an audio file in your email.
Before you start
Here are some things to know before you begin this process.
- Host your audio files on a publicly accessible server or use Mailchimp to host your files for you.
- A non-image file, such as a PDF or MP3 file, includes the file name of the uploaded file in the URL and is not given a unique identification number. When the file is downloaded, it has the same file name as the uploaded file. Renaming the file in the content studio does not affect the URL or change the file name when it is downloaded.
Use the link tool in the new builder
Add audio links to text, images, and buttons in the new builder. In Heading and Paragraph blocks, you’ll use the editing toolbar. For Button, Logo, and Image blocks, you’ll use the block’s side panel.
After you send the email, check your email report to see how many contacts clicked the link.
