State tax payments
Most of the state agencies offer electronic payments through their website. You can contact your state agencies on how to sign up with their electronic services.
If you choose to mail your payment to the state agency, you can send the payment along with the payment coupon. We can provide you a payment coupon after recording the tax payment in your Online Payroll account. In the event that we do not support the payment coupon, contact your state agency to get one. Note that some state agencies do not accept manual payment. Enroll in our electronic services or contact your state agency to check for options in paying taxes.
When you pay taxes outside Intuit, you also need to record the payment in your Online Payroll account to remove the tax due and tag it as paid. Recording a tax payment generates a payment coupon which you need in sending the payment in the mail. To record a tax payment made outside Intuit, see Recording prior tax payments for more details.
