Display resolution
I'm using QB desktop
Everytime I open QB it changes my display resolution on my entire laptop. I have to reset every time.
Any thoughts on how to stop this?

Hi JoMaisie,
It's great to have you join the Community. I'll be happy to share more info so you can continue to navigate the program with ease.
It's important to note there's three steps involved towards making sure you experience no display issues in QuickBooks. The first step is double-checking the display settings in QuickBooks. Here's how:
- Close QuickBooks Desktop.
- Open the Windows Start menu.
- Type "QuickBooks" into the search. Then right-click the QuickBooks icon and select Open file location.
- In the folder, right-click the QuickBooks.exe file and select Properties.
- Go to the Compatibility tab.
- Select the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings checkbox. You can also select Change high DPI settings and then Override high DPI scaling behaviour.
- Select Apply and then OK.
In case you're still experiencing issues after following the above, I recommend proceeding with step two and three outlined in the following article: Fix screen issues in QuickBooks Desktop.
Let me know if this info helps by leaving a comment below. I'll be a message away.

Yep, I've talked to sales many times and upgrading is not worth it for me because I need minimal things and that basic doesn't allow. Its not worth the fee monthly for me to go online.
If I upgrade to desktop support is $600/yr. Again, I'm small business so its not worth it.

Try using the trial version of a supported version (o.e 2022-2024) to isolate the problem. If it works, you don't need to pay the subscription license to fix your issue.

Thanks. Found out its a Windows 11 compatibility issue. I actually found a QB support that didn't charge me. He did everything. My new laptop with 11 won't work fully with QB2018.
