Let me provide you some information on why amounts are showing up as rate on the sales receipt.
This will happen when you enter first the amount in the Amount column. When creating a sales receipt, QuickBooks will automatically recognize what’s entered in each field.
To record your transaction accurately, I suggest inputting the data in sequence like QTY, Rate, and Amount. This way, QuickBooks will show accurate information.
