Can Not Connect With WISE Business Account

I've got some steps to fix the error so you can successfully connect your Wise business account as a payment method in QuickBooks, @deandamon12.

The error code 81624 signifies an issue with payment authorization or validation. This happens when the bank fails to authorize or validate a payment related to QuickBooks. Users might encounter this situation if they enter inaccurate details corresponding to the financial institution, such as an incorrect address.

Please note that you can pay for your subscription using Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and PayPal.

You can perform the following instructions below to get this error sorted out:

  1. Please ensure all Subscription and billing fields are completed.
  2. Verify your payment details.
  3. Confirm your card address. Make sure it matches your QuickBooks settings.

Furthermore, make sure there are no special characters or symbols (such as @ or *) in your billing address and that your contact number is formatted correctly using the +area code.

On the other hand, you’ll want to clear your main browser’s cache if the issue persists or you can't update your billing details. After, restart your browser to completely optimize your system.

Can Not Connect With WISE Business Account

Hi Madelyn

Thank you for your reply.

I double-checked my card information and now I can confirm the card is successfully connect as a payment method.

I also now want to connect my wise business account in the bank feed. But when I try to do that, there's a pop up saying "To enable connections to banks with different currencies, you will need to upgrade to QuickBooks Online Essentials or Plus."

Do I have to upgrade even tho I just want to track AUD?

Can Not Connect With WISE Business Account

Hi deandamon12,

Thanks for getting back to us about your Wise concern. Currently, the supported Wise Bank account is Wise Business and Wise Business Euro. The prompt you have received is due to your current subscription does not support the Multicurrency feature. You'll have to upgrade to the Essentials, Plus, or Advanced plan to be able to use multicurrency and connect your Wise bank.

To upgrade your subscription:

  1. Click on the Settings icon.
  2. Click on Account & Settings, and click on Subscription & Billing.
  3. Click on Upgrade your plan.
  4. Choose the plan that you wanted to upgrade to and check the pricing.
  5. Follow the on screen prompts.

To learn more about multicurrency feature, you can check this link: Set up and use Multicurrency in QuickBooks Online.
