Error while verifying bank details for getting direct feeds enrollment form

I've got you covered in signing up for Direct bank connections in QuickBooks Online (QBO), 9130348450074966.

If you bank with American Express, ANZ, Commonwealth Bank, or Westpac, we have a slightly different process:

For all other eligible accounts, here is the process to connect your bank account via a direct feed:

  1. Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, and select Bank transactions (Take me there).
  2. Choose Connect Account if this is your first time connecting, or Link account if you've created one in the past.
  3. Search for your bank. Then, tap Get direct bank feeds.
  4. Read the steps on connecting the bank feeds, then select Get direct feeds.
  5. Enter your account details. It's important that these fields match what the bank has on file for you. Please note that for Credit Card accounts, you need to enter your 9-digit Account Number, not your actual credit card number.
  6. Select the bank account you want to connect to, select Connect and an authorisation form will be created.
  7. Click Preview form.
  8. Print the form and hand-sign it. If there are two signatories, both signatories will need to sign the form. If there are more than two, then all signatories need to sign the form.
  9. Email or post the form using the following details:
    • Email: intuitforms@siss.com.au
    • Subject: QuickBooks Bank Feed Request
    • OR
    • Mail: SISS Data Services Pty Ltd
    • Locked Bag 3060
    • Crows Nest, NSW, 1585

You can get a more comprehensive overview of this process via the manage your bank connection article. You can check out this article for more details about direct bank connections: Direct bank connections with QuickBooks Online | FAQ

If the same thing happens, let's perform some browser troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue. To start, let's open QBO using an incognito browser. Private browser prevents saving cache and cookies that sometimes cause errors when running frequently visited websites. Here are the shortcut keys:

  • Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Firefox
  • Control + Option + P for Safari

If it works, return to your default browser and clear the cache. Every so often the cache becomes overwhelmed with older data which can potentially cause odd behavior when connecting to Online banking. Clearing it will refresh the system, and you'll be able to work with a clean slate. Switching to other supported web browsers can also help rectify the issue.

After connecting your bank, you can now match, categorise, and reconcile them to ensure your books are accurate and there aren't any duplicate transactions:

You can always get back to me if you have questions or other concerns about adding your latest bank transactions in QBO or anything else, by leaving a reply below. I'm always here to assist.
