I've got you covered in signing up for Direct bank connections in QuickBooks Online (QBO), 9130348450074966.
If you bank with American Express, ANZ, Commonwealth Bank, or Westpac, we have a slightly different process:
For all other eligible accounts, here is the process to connect your bank account via a direct feed:
You can get a more comprehensive overview of this process via the manage your bank connection article. You can check out this article for more details about direct bank connections: Direct bank connections with QuickBooks Online | FAQ.
If the same thing happens, let's perform some browser troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue. To start, let's open QBO using an incognito browser. Private browser prevents saving cache and cookies that sometimes cause errors when running frequently visited websites. Here are the shortcut keys:
If it works, return to your default browser and clear the cache. Every so often the cache becomes overwhelmed with older data which can potentially cause odd behavior when connecting to Online banking. Clearing it will refresh the system, and you'll be able to work with a clean slate. Switching to other supported web browsers can also help rectify the issue.
After connecting your bank, you can now match, categorise, and reconcile them to ensure your books are accurate and there aren't any duplicate transactions:
You can always get back to me if you have questions or other concerns about adding your latest bank transactions in QBO or anything else, by leaving a reply below. I'm always here to assist.
