I am having a lot of trouble with my Commonwealth Bank feed. It used to keep up to date during the day, now I can't even get it to pull through yesterdays transactions.

Is it just the CBA or is it other banks as well?

Hello SamanthaPSM,

Thanks for posting in the Community!

There isn't a reported incident with Commonwealth Bank feeds not updating transactions in QuickBooks Online. Let's use the steps below to isolate the situation encountered. Start by manually updating your bank feeds. Here's how:

  1. Click on the Transactions tab.
  2. Click on Bank transactions.
  3. Locate and click the bank account and click on the pencil icon.
  4. Click on Edit sign in info.
  5. Manually enter your bank's log in detail. If your bank offers a Show option, select it so you can confirm you entered the password correctly.
  6. Click on Save and connect.

Then, check your For review tab if new transactions have downloaded in QuickBooks Online. Furthermore, you can upgrade your CBA bank account via Direct feeds connection to get more secure when downloading your bank transactions in QBO.

To upgrade your CBA bank account to direct feeds connection:

  1. Click on the CBA bank account in Bank transactions.
  2. Click on Get a better connection to merge the incoming direct feeds connection account.
  3. Find Commonwealth Bank in the search bar, then select it.
  4. Select the Get direct bank feeds link.
  5. Fill out the client authorisation form.
  6. Select the QuickBooks Online account you want the direct feed transactions to flow into, then select Connect.
  7. A Customer Authority to Disclose Information form will now be generated using the information you entered in Step 5. Select Preview Form to open it in your web browser.
  8. Print the customer authorisation form and make sure to get all signatories to sign it, then scan the form and email it to Intuit SISS email [email address removed] or mail the form to

Mail: SISS Data Services Pty Ltd
    Locked Bag 3060
    Crows Nest, NSW, 1585

Once you have emailed the form, you should receive a reply email from SISS acknowledging receipt of the form. From this point, your CBA Direct Feed should be established in up to 10 business days.

Feel free to drop a comment below if you have further concerns about your CBA bank connection. I'll be around to help you.
