Is there any work around to update bank feeds where a token number is required to access the bank transactions? (Bendigo Bank).

Hi sarahg4,

Can you confirm if you're using a token code/one time passcode when accessing your Bendigo online banking? Make sure when connecting the bank account in QuickBooks Online answer the question Yes or No if using a token code or not.

If the issue persists, I would recommend connecting the bank account using a new incognito window (private browser). The incognito window does not save cookies on your browser.

  1. Log in to qbo.intuit.com and enter your User id and Password.
  2. Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, then select Bank transactions.
  3. Select Connect Account if this is your first time connecting, or Link account if you've created one in the past.
  4. Search for your bank.
  5. Select Continue, then sign in to your bank by entering your banking user ID and password.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps to connect and go through any additional security checks required.

The steps above should be able to help you connect your bank account. If the issue is the same, please reach out to our Customer Care Team. That way, they can check your account connection and escalate a ticket to our bank engineers.

Drop by again if you have concerns about your QuickBooks Online. I'll be right here to answer them for you.

Hi Sheila,

Yes, our client is using a token code/one time passcode when accessing Bendigo online banking. They upgraded their security to include a token because of a security breach previously.

When re-connecting the bank account we updated the password and entered 'yes' for the token question. The first time we re-connected it worked, but subsequently didn't without re-entering the new token code. I just want to check if there's any way QuickBooks can update the bank transactions without access to the token code. As their bookkeeper, I don't have access to the token code.

Thanks

Hi sarahg4,

Thanks for getting back to us. I'm afraid there isn't a different way to update the bank feeds when using a token code. The account holder will be the one who needs to update the bank connection on file to be able to enter the secure token.

In the meantime you can either manually enter the bank transactions or manually import transactions using a CSV file.

Keep me posted if you have other banking-related concerns or questions. I'll get back to help you the best that I can.
