I have an uploaded receipt from using the app, and a downloaded bank transaction. How do I match these manually if QuickBooks doesn't offer a match?

I can't see any option in the Receipts section to find a match. And in the Banking section, when I try to add a receipt to the transaction, I can only open files on my computer.

Is the only way to download the receipt onto my computer, and then manually upload it to the bank transaction?

Hi JT94,

Thanks for posting in the Community!

When you add receipts in QuickBooks Online, you can match them to the downloaded payment in the Bank transactions tab. To review and categorise your receipts:

  1. Click on the Transactions tab.
  2. Click on Receipts tab.
  3. Locate the transaction and click on Create expense.

Once the receipt is added, go to the For review tab to find match the transactions.

Make sure the expense and payment has the same amount, bank account, and date to be able to find match.

I loaded a hole lot of Fuel receipts from the QB App on the phone, but where are they stored, so I can marry them with the correct transaction??

Thanks for joining the thread, Herdy. I'll share some details to help you locate the receipts uploaded using the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app.

To see uploaded receipts in the mobile app, you'll want to go to the For Review section. We'll write down the steps to get you going:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company on the mobile app.
  2. Select Snap receipt and then click the For Review section.
  3. Review the receipts you uploaded. If you don't see them, you'll want to pull down to refresh the screen.

In case you still don't see the receipts, you'll want to access your company file using the web browser and follow these steps:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, click the Transactions tab.
  3. Select Receipts and then click For review.

For further guidelines on how to link them to the correct transactions, please see the second video on this page: Manually upload your transactions, receipts, and bills into QuickBooks Online.

In addition, here are some articles about the capabilities of the mobile app and how you can reconcile an account inside QBO:
