If statement from bank and also on bank register matches but when I go to reconcile some transactions are saying they haven't cleared and are unchecked what do I do?

Welcome back to the QuickBooks Community, mjgardenbags-yah. I'll be sharing details on how transactions work in QuickBooks. I'll also ensure you can reconcile them in QBO smoothly.

When you connect your accounts in QuickBooks, transactions are automatically downloaded to QBO. Then, you have to categorize them so they'll indicated as cleared on the program. I recommend going to the Bank register page and confirming from there that entries are marked as cleared or C.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon ⚙ and select Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to review. Then, choose the Account history link in the Action column.
  3. Select the Filter icon and choose the filters you want to apply. Then, click Apply. This is to easily locate transactions.
  4. Go to the Checkmark column and make sure that each entry shows as C. If not, tick the box until you see C.

Once done, return to the Reconciliation page and review all of your bank transactions. If they still appear as uncleared, you need to manually place a checkmark in the circle.

Additionally, I also recommend that when you have a split entry, you have to make sure that they are both matched or added so they'll be cleared and ready to reconcile.

Lastly, I'm adding this article to see the different guidelines to help you fix any reconciliation issues that you might encounter: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.
