Can we import coded bank transaction in new quickbook?

Hello there, expertaxconsult. I'll help you with importing your bank transactions from another QuickBooks Online (QBO) account to the new one.

In QBO, you can export your coded/categorised bank transactions to CSV and re-import them to your new QBO account. However, please know that it will still appear in the For review tab of your new account and you'll need to categorised them accordingly. To guide you further, please follow these steps to export your coded transactions from your older QBO account:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Select the Bank transactions menu.
  3. Pick the Categorised tab. Then, tap the export icon to save your transactions to a CSV file.

Once done, proceed to import them to your new QBO account. Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank transactions.
  2. Tap Upload transactions.
  3. Select Drag and drop or select files and then choose the file you downloaded from your bank. Then click Continue.
  4. In the QuickBooks account ▼  dropdown, pick the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then tap Continue.

For more details about the process, see this article: Manually upload your transactions, receipts, and bills into QuickBooks Online. After that, it will move to the For review tab. You can categorise them in bulk if you're not utilizing the GST feature. Otherwise, you'll have to categorise them one at a time.

Additionally, you can check out this article to help you speed up the review process of your online bank transactions: Set up bank rules to categorise online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online.

I'm always around and ready to help if you have more questions about importing your bank transactions in QBO. Just click the Reply button to add your comment so I can assist you further. Have a great day!
