I am trying to manage expenses for last three months on my linked account and card but I don't see any of it. Does it have to be imported manually??

Let me offer some details and instructions for handling missing transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Rick.

You don't have to import your transactions manually if you're able to view missing entries after performing some troubleshooting processes first in QBO. If not, you can proceed in uploading them in the meantime.

If you're referring to your bank transactions no longer syncing to QBO, you can manually refresh your linked account first to refresh the connection between your bank and the system so transactions will show up. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Transactions tab.
  2. Choose Bank transactions.
  3. Select the bank account and click Update.

You'll also want to contact your financial institution or check their website for alerts or notifications because QBO cannot perform automatic updates during your bank's scheduled maintenance.

Moreover, verify or filter the correct period. Then, you can search for missing transactions in these areas:

  • For review tab: This is where recently downloaded transactions are stored.
  • Categorised tab: Recently categorised transactions will be here.
  • Excluded tab: Those transactions you mark as personal or a duplicate.

See these articles for further information when handling bank transactions within the program:

Lastly, you can reconcile your accounts to match your bank and credit card statements. Then, view, print, or export a reconciliation report for tracking purposes.
