Hello there, sophiemoyle96-gm.

Thanks for posting in the Community space. Once we turned on the GST in QuickBooks Online, we're unbale to turn it off. As a work around, we can set your default tax rate to Out of Scope in your company settings. Here's how to;

  1. Click on the Settings icon.
  2. Click on Account & Settings.
  3. Click on Advanced tab, and go to Accounting section.
  4. Set the Default tax rate selection to Out of Scope.
  5. Click on Save, and click on Done.

Once you create your transactions it will be set automatically to Out of scope tax code so no tax is calculated on them.
