Before that, Ensure the invoices are "Open" or "Overdue" (not "Paid" or "Closed"), go to Sales > Invoices to select and write off the invoice, check that the customer has an open credit balance, confirm there are no limits on write-offs and select the correct account. You'll need to verify if you have the necessary permissions and look for any error messages or notifications in QuickBooks.
If the issue persists, open your browser's private window. It allows you to isolate the cache, which is the common cause of unusual behaviors.

If that works, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Otherwise, open an alternative browser that's available for you.
