Hi I haven't been able to find the answer by searching so hoping someone here can help.
For the past couple of years i have been using QBO to invoice for my freelance work. Every invoice has a job description which i have so far been entering as the first line item leaving product/service field blank.
I have used the message to customer field (under content tab) to display my bank details for EFT. I have now switched this detail to the footer.
I'm hoping there is a way to automatically enter the job description into the subject line of the emails sent. Is it possible for me to put the job description into message to customer and then use something like [message] within the email subject line to automatically insert it?
Is there a list of what info can be [inserted] ?
Many thanks.
Hi Woodsee,
Thank you for providing the detailed background with your inquiry.
As far as entering the job description into the subject line of the emails sent, this is unfortunately not possible in terms of the way you are describing how you want it (automation).
There is no list of what can be [inserted] as the only piece of data that gets pulled in the subject line of the emails being sent is [InvoiceNo]
I would suggest putting the job description in the box labeled Message on Invoice located underneath the line items whilst creating the invoice.
Kristian.
