Effectively managing invoice payments is essential for maintaining organized financial records, missyp87. Allow me to lend a hand in addressing this concern.
Once you've received a payment from a customer, it's essential to enter it in QuickBooks Online to change its invoice status to paid. Otherwise, the invoice will stay open and unpaid in the system, resulting in it being marked as overdue.
To ensure the invoice is marked as paid, you need to record the payment in QBO. To do so, please follow the steps below.

Afterward, you can record this entry in your bank account to align with your actual deposits. For assistance with this, check out this article: Record and make bank deposits in QuickBooks Online.
Moreover, in cases where an invoice payment is recorded using Bank Deposit instead of the Receive Payment feature, it’s crucial to link the deposit to its corresponding invoice.
