How do I add a pay on time discount to an invoice?

Welcome to the Community space! Let me provide some information regarding adding discounts to an invoice in QuickBooks Online. You can turn on the Discounts given option in your company settings, this way you'll be able to enter an amount or rate of how much discount you've given to your customer. Let me show you how to turn on the discounts:

1. Click on the Gear Icon.
2. Click on Account and Settings.
3. Click on the Sales tab.
4. Locate and select the pencil icon in the Sales form content section.
5. Turn on Discount.
6. Click on Save and then Done.

Then, create a sample invoice and you'll see a field showing Discount value or Discount percent where you can enter the discount figure.
